The Vision trade fair closed its doors with a record number of exhibitors and visitors: 441 exhibitors from 28 countries and almost 10,000 visitors from 58 countries were represented. At the last Vision two years ago, there were 432 exhibitors and a good 8,700 visitors - also a record.

At the trade fair stand of camera manufacturer Basler, there was a facial recognition system that used the "Pysense" optical sensor from Pyramics shown here to estimate the age of the observer and determine their gender. A board-level device from Basler's "dart" series serves as the camera module for the "Pysense".
