For embedded applications

BCON is an interface developed by Basler for connection to LVDS-based vision technology.

Together with the 'dart' board-level camera, it enables an optimized sensor front-end and image processing architecture for embedded applications, according to the provider. LVDS (Low Voltage Differential Signaling) is a standard interface for high-speed data transmission, but does not define image transmission in detail. The new interface ensures the transmission of image data and offers flexibility at the same time. FPGA boards and SoCs (System on Chip) can be connected. Together with the board level camera, a common ribbon cable is used for the transmission of input and output signals as well as the power supply. In addition, developers of embedded systems can switch between different camera models without additional integration costs or effort.
