Another main prize winner in the 'Start-up competition - digital innovations': the company AkknaTeck, which deals with the treatment of cataracts. In this disease, an artificial lens is inserted in a routine operation. However, an optimal visual result is often not achieved. The most common cause of this is incorrect positioning of the lens. AkknaTek has developed an innovative and patented measuring method to determine the exact position of the lens, which will provide doctors with more certainty during surgery in the future. This will save patients additional costs and, above all, health risks due to follow-up operations.
