PHP is the most commonly used programming language for creating websites and web applications. The founding team from Bochum has developed the Rips software to automatically detect potential security vulnerabilities in PHP web applications. This can be used to analyze modern web applications with millions of lines of code in just a few minutes. In total, the system supports the elimination of over 40 different types of vulnerability. First, the developer receives a summarized risk assessment. The software then provides detailed instructions on how to identify, prioritize and eliminate the specific defects.
