Three questions for ...Supply Chain Act - overdue or superfluous?
The planned German Supply Chain Act makes companies more responsible if suppliers violate human rights and environmental standards. We asked the industry associations VDMA, VDW and ZVEI what exactly this means for industry and companies.
With around 3,300 members, the VDMA (German Engineering Federation) is the largest network organization in European mechanical engineering. The association has represented the common economic, technical and scientific interests of this diverse industry for over 125 years. Structured into specialist associations, cross-sectional departments and working groups, the VDMA works together with its members on the broad spectrum of topics in mechanical and plant engineering. The association also promotes the interests of its members abroad in international committees and forums, supported by local VDMA offices.
