Additive manufacturing3D printing in a country comparison
Nowhere is industrial 3D printing more widespread than in Germany. The consulting firm Ernst & Young has now published further interesting details on additive manufacturing in a recent study.

... the plastics industry: 38% of companies across all countries surveyed have already gained experience with 3D printing - i.e. they use it to design prototypes, tools or end products or parts of end products. According to Ernst & Young, 3D printing is also already playing a major role in mechanical and plant engineering: 29% are already working with or testing 3D printing, as are automotive and aerospace companies.
