Collaboration on generative AI

Siemens and Nvidia deepen their partnership. Supported by Nvidia Omniverse Cloud APIs, Siemens brings immersive visualization to the Siemens Xcelerator platform to advance the use of AI-powered digital twins.

At the Nvidia GPU Technology Conference, Siemens and Nvidia showed how generative AI will revolutionize the visualization of complex data, enable photorealism and how shipbuilder HD Hyundai can use it to develop sustainable products.

"We will revolutionize how products are designed, manufactured, maintained and perceived. As we move towards the industrial metaverse, this next generation of industrial software will enable our customers to experience products as if they were in the real world: in context, realistically and, in the future, through natural language interaction," said Roland Busch, President and CEO of Siemens AG. "Together with Nvidia, we are bringing accelerated computing, generative AI and the integration of Omniverse to the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio."

New product in Teamcenter X

In the next phase of the partnership, Siemens will release a new product in Teamcenter X this year. Teamcenter X is Siemens' cloud-based Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software, part of Siemens Xcelerator. It will give engineering teams the ability to create an intuitive, photorealistic and physics-based digital twin in real time, making workflows more efficient and reducing errors.

Setting up and adjusting details in photorealistic renderings - such as the representation of materials, the lighting environment and other elements of the scenery - will be significantly accelerated by generative AI. Tasks that used to take days are now completed in hours, with technical development data presented in context as it would appear in the real world. In addition to development teams, other users - from sales and marketing teams to decision makers and customers - also benefit from the deeper insights and better understanding of product appearance in the real world. This enables more informed and faster decisions.
