Plagiarius 2018Product counterfeiters "awarded"
On February 9th, the Plagiarius campaign awarded its eponymous defamation prize to manufacturers or retailers of counterfeit products. In addition to consumer goods, industrial components are also frequently among the counterfeit products - as was the case this year.

The design of the 'Amorini' silicone mold from the Italian company Silikomart was copied 1:1 (see counterfeit on the right). The packaging design and the name 'Siliko' are also almost identical to the original (left) and therefore misleading. The counterfeit was distributed by the Chinese company Ningbo Globalway Industry & Trade.
