Plagiarius 2018Product counterfeiters "awarded"
On February 9th, the Plagiarius campaign awarded its eponymous defamation prize to manufacturers or retailers of counterfeit products. In addition to consumer goods, industrial components are also frequently among the counterfeit products - as was the case this year.
... the 'Kazimir' cheese grater from Koziol is once again among the victims this year. For years, a wide variety of plagiarized versions of the grater have been sold in Asia, Spain and Turkey. Now the top plate including the photo and the rubber attachment have also been copied. The distribution was carried out by a Spanish department store via its gift stores and online store. In the meantime, the Spanish distributor has removed the counterfeit products and signed a cease-and-desist declaration.
