Cables, connectors etc. are the backbone of every factory. The "smarter" the latter becomes, the higher the demands on the passive elements for signal and energy transmission. Computer&AUTOMATION has compiled the latest products from the field of electromechanics.

Passive distribution boxes from Harting
© Harting

With the passive distribution boxes, Harting presents sensor-actuator boxes in a compact design. They enable simple field installation and reduce the cabling effort and installation time for sensor wiring at the user's premises. The sensor-actuator boxes are suitable for applications in automation, robotics and process systems. The passive distribution boxes can be connected to industry-standard M8 and M12 slots on the sensor side. There is a choice of four, eight or ten slots so that the sensor cables no longer have to be pulled from the sensor to the control cabinet, but only to the decentralized distribution box close to the application. A master cable to the control cabinet takes care of the rest. This can be connected either via an M23, M16 or M12 connection. Thanks to protection class IP67/68, the sensor-actuator boxes can withstand even harsh operating environments.
