The bronze Vector was awarded to a production plant for concrete elements: The application from Ebawe Anlagentechnik, which the company built for a project in Thailand, is used for the industrial production of a wide variety of concrete elements. The concrete distributor has to be cleaned once or twice a day to ensure smooth operation. However, this is over 50 m away from the actual working area of the plant. The solution concept: an Igus chain travels in a channel in the main working area. A second system consisting of an energy chain and chute is used for the long spur track to the cleaning point. The chain of the shorter moving chute is locked and the chain and chute move on rollers above the lower system until its chain is fully extended. This process is fully automatic.
