Intelligent drive technology for AGVs and AMRs

The compact AGV drive system 'cyber iTAS system 2' from Wittenstein consists of a servo controller from the 'cyber simco drive2' series with integrated, SIL3 and PLe-certified safe torque-off safety function and a space-saving, heavy-duty wheel actuator 'cyber TAS actuator 2'.

According to the manufacturer, the robust design of the differential drive system with integrated brake and wheel offers industry-standard simplicity that minimizes the development, design, construction, operation and service of AGVs and AMRs. The Next Level Safety Architecture of the drive system requires fewer cables and connectors, fewer interfaces, fewer components and modules as well as less assembly and documentation work. In addition, further safety functions in accordance with SIL2/PLd and SIL3/PLe can be added as an option and customized. With Profisafe and CIP Safety, the interface design of the safe bus communication covers the majority of standard safety master controllers.
