New board elected

The VDMA Large Industrial Plant Manufacturers' Association (AGAB) has a new Executive Board. Jürgen Nowicki, CEO Linde Engineering, was re-elected as Chairman at the members' meeting on September 30 in Darmstadt. He has held this honorary position since 2016.

Dr. Hannes Storch, Managing Director Outotec, and Martin Oetjen, COO MAN Energy Solutions, were elected as his deputies. The two managers will support the Chairman and jointly represent the interests of large-scale plant engineering vis-à-vis business leaders, politicians and the press.

The AGAB Board of Directors for the 2024 to 2026 election period is now composed as follows

  • Helmut Maschke, Air Liquide Global Management Services (Executive Director, Strategic Account Management)

  • Martin Oetjen, MAN Energy Solutions (COO & Member of the Executive Board)
  • Karl Purkarthofer, Primetals Technologies Austria (CEO)
  • Michael Rzepczyk, SMS group (COO & Member of the Management Board)
  • Günther Schnell, Friedrich Kocks (Managing Director Sales & Marketing)
  • Hussein Shoukry, Siemens Energy Austria (Senior Vice President & Global Head of Project Entity and Competence Hubs)
  • Dr. Hannes Storch, Outotec (Vice President Metals and Chemicals Processing Metso Outotec & Managing Director, Outotec)

The VDMA Large Industrial Plant Manufacturers' Association represents the interests of large plant engineering companies in Europe. It represents an annual order intake of over 20 billion euros and employs around 50,000 people in Germany and Austria. With a global market share of around 15 % and an average export ratio of 80 %, the companies have a considerable locomotive effect on the domestic supplier industry.
