Inka Krischke,

Positioning accuracy up to 2 µm

The 'lifgo hp' rack and pinion gearbox from Leantechnik enables long, precise and dynamic strokes. According to the manufacturer, the absolute positioning accuracy is up to 2 µm, a fraction of the thickness of a human hair.

One of the main reasons for this precision is the helical gearing of the rack and pinion gearbox. According to Leantechnik, it also ensures that the rack moves very quietly and can be loaded evenly. The infinitely adjustable tooth flank clearance also contributes to the precision of the rack and pinion gearbox. In addition to the high positioning accuracy, the rack and pinion gearboxes offer great rigidity, even with long strokes, according to the supplier. The rack and pinion gearboxes in the series are manufactured in various versions with lifting forces between 1,800 N and 22,600 N. The gearboxes achieve a lifting speed of up to 3 m/s and are very compact (maximum 180 mm x 156 mm x 160 mm).
