The 'Pop.up' passenger capsule presented by Airbus as a concept study can switch between electrically powered ground and air vehicle modules. This makes the vehicle concept seem like something straight out of a science fiction movie.

"Although Pop.up is based on future technologies that are not yet fully developed, such as the electric drive and the "sense-and-avoid" technology, the basic idea of the vehicle is feasible," says Marius Bebesel, head of the CityAirbus demonstrator.
