All segments in the automation industry performed well at the start of the year, as Dr. Gunther Kegel, Chairman of the Board of the ZVEI Automation Association, announced at the Hannover Messe 2019. A look back at the previous year is also positive for the association.

German automation exports to eight exemplary EU countries are rising continuously - including to the Brexit country Great Britain. Last year, the industry exported 2.1 billion euros worth of automation goods to the UK. In return, the UK supplied 0.9 billion euros worth of automation goods to Germany. "The future is now - admittedly - uncertain," says Dr. Gunther Kegel with a view to the Brexit negotiations.
