One of the features of the Stein 300 transport system from Stein Automation is the "2SoftMove" drive solution, which ensures that the carriers are moved quickly and gently. EC motors regulate the speed continuously between 3 and 25 m/minute. Their output adapts exactly to the actual demand, thus avoiding unnecessary energy consumption. The high-speed workpiece carrier infeed was developed to further reduce cycle times. A jerk-free movement profile enables smooth and rapid retraction. According to the manufacturer, the system saves users a significant amount of time, especially when processing large quantities: instead of the previous 1.4 s - based on a 240 mm x 240 mm workpiece carrier - the changeover is completed in just 0.7 s.
