SPS 2019New products in Nuremberg
What new products did the exhibitors present at SPS 2019? Computer&AUTOMATION provides an overview of what awaited visitors to the Nuremberg exhibition halls this year.

Depending on the model, the thermal imaging cameras in the 'Thermoimager TIM' series from Micro-Epsilon are suitable for real-time monitoring in the production line as well as for mobile use and monitor processes at speeds of up to 1 kHz. License-free analysis software and a complete SDK are available for evaluation and connection. The Thermoimager TIM G7 is a thermal imaging camera specially designed for the glass industry. Thanks to the spectral range of 7.9 µm, even thin glass panes can be measured without transmission losses. The software offers a line scan camera function with which the temperature cross profile of moving measurement objects is recorded line by line. This makes it possible to monitor and, if necessary, readjust heating and cooling zones. The Moldcontrol system detects quality fluctuations in injection molding processes. It consists of an industrial thermal imaging camera, a miniature PC and industry-specific evaluation software. The software compares the recorded thermal image with a reference image of the respective component and uses it to carry out an IO or NOK evaluation. The short-wave thermal imaging cameras Thermoimager TIM M05 and TIM M1 are designed in particular for measuring hot metals, graphite or ceramics and are used at various measuring points, such as when hardening or forming metals. They have a continuous temperature measuring range of 450 to 2000 °C, an image frequency of up to 1 kHz and various resolution/image frequency modes. Water-cooled protective housings are available for high ambient temperatures.
