"Integrated Industry - Discover Solutions!" was the motto of the world's most important industrial trade fair, Hannover Messe 2016. Computer&AUTOMATION shows an excerpt of the products that were on display in Hanover in a picture gallery.
The Smart Camera BVS from Balluff, which is equipped with various communication interfaces, is connected to the production environment via standardized M12 connectors. One device variant also has an IO-Link master port, which can be used to connect IO-Link devices, sensors and actuators. Access is location-independent via standard web browsers; the image processing software runs independently in the camera and is based on the 'Halcon' function library. It is operated via the integrated user interface. Results data can be prepared flexibly for the respective system environment, and complete inspection reports including images can be stored on an FTP server in the network for each inspection.
