Formula Student Germany 2019German racing cars prove themselves at the Hockenheimring
Around 3,500 students from 25 countries brought the asphalt at the Hockenheimring to the boil at the beginning of August: At the 'Formula Student Germany 2019' design competition, their self-built racing cars competed in the combustion engine, electric drive and autonomous vehicle classes.

... 'Tilt Table Test', the inspectors check whether no operating fluids such as oil or fuel can escape when the vehicle is tilted by 45 degrees and whether the rollover protection rules are met. If the upper wheels remain on the base plate even at a tilt of 60 degrees (corresponds to a lateral acceleration of 1.7 g), the racing car passes the test.
