Without drive technology - in the truest sense of the word - nothing would turn in most machines and systems. Computer&AUTOMATION presents the latest innovations in this automation discipline in a series of pictures.

TDK has added six new types to its range of Epcos motor suppression chokes. The chokes are available in three different designs with different rated currents and inductance values. The B82116B rod core chokes are designed for rated currents of 10 A, 21 A and 25 A and offer inductance values of 1.8 μH, 3.3 μH and 3.4 μH. The two mushroom core chokes B82116S have a current carrying capacity of 25 A and are available with inductance values of 2.9 μH and 3.1 μH respectively. The range is rounded off by a B82622S toroidal choke with two windings. It is designed for 30 A and has an inductance value of 2.1 μH. Depending on the type, the maximum permissible operating temperatures are +85 to +140 °C. An insulated wire with wire class 200 and UL listing in accordance with EN 60317-13 is used for the RoHS-compatible suppression chokes. Qualification according to AEC-Q200 is available.
