The new Eagle AP xx-BT models from Aprotech offer an extended operating temperature range between -20 and 60 °C. The IP67 plugs, which are designed vertically downwards, should now enable installation at a very small distance from the wall. The model family is also equipped with a low-consumption (only 10 W) Intel CPU E3845 with four cores with 1.91 GHz each. In terms of the type of touch system, the user can choose between RTW (Resistive Touch Window), which reacts to pressure, and a 2-point multi-touch as PCT (Projected Capacitive Touch). According to the manufacturer, both systems result in a uniformly flat front. Possible applications for the 15-, 17- and 19-inch devices include visualization tasks, data transfers or simulations. Fanless and optionally equipped with an industrial SSD instead of an HDD (24/7), this model can be equipped without rotating mechanics. It will be available for at least five years from the beginning of 2016.
