64 microsteps per full step

Sigmatek has added the ST 151 motion module for stepper motors with STO function to the S-Dias family. The stepper motor output stage is designed for controlling two-phase stepper motors up to 50 V(DC) rated voltage and 5 A continuous current in full and half-step operation.

Microstepping with 64 microsteps per full step is also supported. The stepper motor module has an incremental encoder interface for position monitoring of the stepper motor as well as a 2-channel enable input for implementing the Safe Torque Off safety function (SIL 3, PL e). STO is used to safely transfer the drive to a torque-free state if required. There are also two digital inputs (+24 V(DC)) with an input delay of 10 μs on board, which can be used as limit switches, position latches or for reference runs. Parameterization takes place in the control application.
