Dekra labor market report 2018Mechanical and electrical engineers less in demand
Software developers and programmers were most in demand on the job market in spring. Demand for traditional engineering disciplines has fallen compared to the previous year. These are the findings of the Dekra Akademie's Labor Market Report'18.

Demand will remain high and demographics will play their part," says Jörg Mannsperger, Managing Director of the Dekra Akademie. "In the non-academic technical professions, on the other hand, the situation is becoming more acute: electronics technicians have been among the most sought-after skilled workers for years and mechatronics technicians are also at an all-time high within their occupational field."
