VDMAJob expansion planned in mechanical engineering
The core workforce is to be increased, additional jobs created and the range of apprenticeships and dual study programs expanded. This is what the majority of German machine and plant manufacturers want. However, there is a problem.

In order to meet the increased demand for personnel, more jobs are to be created for specialists in particular: 61% of respondents would like to offer more jobs for specialists in the next six months. 39% would like to offer more positions for experts (generally engineers) and 38% for specialists. In all the groups mentioned, less than 5% plan to offer fewer jobs.
