Telemeter Electronic is expanding its portfolio of resistive temperature sensors with a new category of digital models in QFN16 format for applications with higher series requirements. The factory-calibrated sensor has a 24-bit A/D converter and an SPI or I2C interface. Thanks to the chip design in QFN16 format, the sensor can be installed in large series quantities on PCBs using the reflow soldering process. The sensor can also be integrated into customer-specific probe housings, complete with connector and ready for connection. The current consumption of the sensor is below 12.5 μA, which means that the chip hardly heats up during operation. The specified operating temperature range is -40 to +125 °C. The measurement tolerance is ±0.1 °C (at -5 to +50 °C).
