EVG has developed its own protective caps for the AMP Superseal connectors. Previously, protection was only possible via individual conductor seals within the connector; now the caps are placed on the connector and guarantee IP67 protection. The caps are designed like a mating connector and therefore lock as usual. According to the manufacturer, the overmolded housing ensures a good feel during the mating and unmating process. TPU is used as the overmolding material, which creates watertight connections. All pin numbers of the connectors are available as female and male versions. A fastening loop with a 200 mm cable is fitted to prevent the cap from being lost. The loop is created using a stainless steel splice with a diameter of 10 mm. The protective cap is also available without a cable.
