Pepperl+Fuchs
Connecting AI software with interfaces and sensors
Symate, a provider in the field of artificial intelligence, would like to combine its expertise with Pepperl+Fuchs. The aim is to create an integrated solution for the automated analysis and optimization of industrial manufacturing processes and quality features.
As part of a pilot project, Symate is currently testing hardware components from Pepperl+Fuchs and connecting them to the 'Detact' AI system. 'Detact' collects, analyzes and processes production and quality data for the systematic monitoring and optimization of processes. The browser-based system utilizes the possibilities of the IoT (Internet of Things).
The complete package of hardware and AI system is intended to offer customers of both companies a significantly wider range of functions for the automation of manufacturing processes than the previous individual solutions. And while Pepperl+Fuchs receives valuable feedback from ongoing processes and clearly visualizes the data from its own sensors, Symate is getting closer to its strategic goal of developing 'Detact' into a central and holistic AI platform for the manufacturing industry.
Daniel Moest, New Business Development at Pepperl+Fuchs, explains: "Together with Symate, we want to combine our expertise in the field of sensor technology with the artificial intelligence of Detact." Various industrial sensors with an IO-Link interface, RFID components, IO-Link masters and the associated connection technology are currently in the trial phase at Symate.
