AI-based data security posture management
Forcepoint has launched a solution for Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) which, according to the company, uses artificial intelligence to provide real-time visibility of data in multi-clouds, networks and on end devices.
The tool uses AI mesh technology to automatically detect data risks such as unwanted access, incorrectly stored files or outdated data. It also examines the content and context of the data and can therefore focus on critical content such as intellectual property, personal information or medical records. Beyond data discovery, Forcepoint's tool also automates the necessary security measures and controls with workflow orchestration and AI-supported Data Detection and Remediation (DDR) to prevent inappropriate use of the data. The solution is part of the vendor's 'Data Security Everywhere Suite', which combines proactive visibility with controls that continuously adapt to how end users access and interact with data on their devices, including BYOD.
