Parallel gripper for the clean room

With the 2FG7, OnRobot presents a gripper that users can also use in cleanrooms without any problems: The electric parallel gripper is IP67-certified and is particularly suitable for the automation of small series or a large number of variants.

The gripper was built for demanding production conditions and applications. It is driven by an integrated electric motor. Users set the stroke, working range and finger position via an intuitive software interface. With a maximum payload of 11 kg, a gripping range of up to 74 mm external dimension and a gripping force of between 20 N and 140 N, the gripper can also handle heavy, bulky payloads. This makes it suitable for high-mix, low-volume production, as it can be quickly adapted to the parts to be handled. It is also specially designed for use in confined working environments.

In addition to IP67 certification, the parallel gripper is also approved for cleanroom use via ISO class 5. It also meets the criteria of ISO/TS 15066 risk assessment for collaborative robot cells. With the help of its precise electric motor, the gripper achieves a gripping time of 450 mm/s.

The accuracy of the finger position is up to 0.1 mm. Intelligent feedback functions further simplify the installation process. For example, the gripper uses grip detection to provide data on how far the fingertips need to be opened or how large a workpiece is.
