International Federation of RoboticsService robots - sales value increases by 39
The robotics association IFR has published figures on service robotics: in 2017, sales of service robots for professional use rose by 39% to USD 6.6 billion. The total number of units sold grew by 85%. Logistics robots are in particularly high demand.

... almost 6.1 million robots were sold for household tasks such as vacuuming, lawn mowing and window cleaning - an impressive increase of 31% compared to 2016. However, the actual figure could be significantly higher, as the IFR survey does not yet fully cover this area. The value amounted to around 1.6 billion US dollars. That is an increase of 30 % compared to 2016.
