Good news from the robotics industry: The International Federation of Robotics (IFR) announced new record figures for the 2015 financial year at Automatica: 248,000 units sold represent an increase of 12% compared to the previous year.

The automotive industry leads the world in automation with industrial robots. Around 95,000 units were sold in this segment in 2015 - a growth rate of one percent. The strongest growth sectors in 2015 were the metal industry (+63%), the plastics industry (+40%) and the electronics industry (+16%).
