The Lynx Cart Transporter from Adept Technology is an intelligent driverless transport system with a payload of 130 kg that transports small, movable carts to a pick-up and unloading position. Applications include restocking, moving flow racks, transporting unfinished products between individual work steps and transporting finished goods to the warehouse. The transport system has a navigation system that enables autonomous path finding within the system. No changes to the infrastructure are necessary. According to the supplier, the system is safe to operate even with existing door elements and busy aisles, as its sensors enable it to detect people, forklift trucks and other objects in its path. The automatic attachment and removal of the carts enables 'hands-free' operation by the user. With the 'Enterprise Manager', several cart transporters can be controlled as a fleet.
