The Agumos Q40 from Melkus Mechatronic is a driverless floor conveyor system that was developed for the automated transportation of small parts, which are often transported in stackable 60 cm × 40 cm boxes. With a footprint of 40 cm × 40 cm × 40 cm, the system can also be used in narrow production aisles and warehouse aisles. The ability to flexibly adjust the height and direction of rotation of the load carrier is designed to facilitate adaptation to existing facilities. A 360° rotation function of the load carrier was developed to keep the load in a defined alignment, even if the transporter changes its direction of travel. An integrated laser scanner ensures a safe stop in front of people and unexpected obstacles. According to the manufacturer, the free-moving industrial truck with a payload of 60 kg is quickly ready for use and easy to integrate into existing systems thanks to variable, optical track guidance. Communication with the mobile operating device is via radio, and with the control system via WLAN.
