Automatica, the biennial 'Trade Fair for Automation and Mechatronics', will exceed the number of exhibitors from 2014 this year. Computer&AUTOMATION shows a selection of the new products presented by the 825 or so exhibitors in Munich in a picture gallery.
Mitsubishi Electric is launching new members of the 'Melfa' robot range, which offer payloads of up to 70 kg. The RV-35F, RV-50F and RV-70F models have a reach of over 2 m with payloads of 35, 50 and 70 kg. They are typically used at the end of production lines, for example for palletizing, positioning or handling heavy parts. The robots will be available in two versions during the course of the year: as a standard robot with a compact stand-alone controller or as a PLC robot integrated into the modular 'iQ-Platform' controller.
