At the Hannover Messe, Kuka presented the KR 3, the most compact model in its Agilus family of small robots to date. With this robot, the Augsburg-based company wants to enter a new market environment: electronics production.

This one was previously the smallest of the Agilus product family: the KR 6 weighs between 48 and 52 kg - depending on the variant -, can carry a load of 6 kg and has a maximum reach of up to 900 mm. The KR 3 weighs around half as much. Its reach of 540 mm is adapted to the dimensions of an industrial small parts production cell of 600 x 600 mm².
