The International Federation of Robotics (IFR) has presented its new 'World Robotics Report 2018': According to this report, global sales of industrial robots achieved a 30% increase in 2017 compared to the previous year. The figures in detail.

Germany is the fifth largest robot market in the world and number one in Europe: in 2017, the number of robots sold rose by 7% to a new all-time record of 21,400 units (2016: 20,100 units). Between 2014 and 2016, annual sales of industrial robots had stagnated at around 20,000 units.
