RoboCup World Championship 2017German robots impress in Japan

Soccer skills were on display at the RoboCup robotics competition in Japan at the end of July. At the forefront: the robots from the German university teams. They also showed how advanced they are technologically in the industrial, household and rescue disciplines.

... the robots from Bonn met the robots of the Taiwanese team 'HuroEvolutionTN' in the final. For the first time at the RoboCup World Championship 2017, a drop-in tournament was held in the KidSize (robots up to 90 cm tall) and TeenSize classes of the Humanoid League. One robot from each of four different teams played in one team. With 21 points, the Bonn team also won this sub-competition in the TeenSize class, followed by the 'WF Wolves' team from Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences in second place.
