The OmniVance Collaborative Machine Tending Cell from ABB Robotics is a complete integrated solution for automated machine tending.

The standardized cell combines a 'Gofa 12' collaborative robot with user-friendly software in an overall solution that can reduce manual time spent on repetitive machine loading tasks by up to 60%, according to ABB Robotics. Thanks to its mobile, compact design, the cell can be easily moved between different machines. Thanks to its IP67 protection rating, Gofa is suitable for machine tending in applications such as metalworking or machine tool manufacturing, where oil, water and dust are often present. The power and force limitation makes it possible to use the cobot safely alongside people without conventional barriers. All essential components of the cell are pre-configured and integrated, so that the solution can be installed and set up within a day. ABB's own web app also offers users the opportunity to learn how to operate the cell independently and without special training in robot programming.
