The I/O communication modules of the "GSM-PRO" series from Conta-Clip make it possible to monitor, control and maintain decentralized applications via the mobile network. Now the GSM-PRO2E and GSM-PRO2E-GPS versions with identical external geometry are replacing this device. The new I/O module also has four relay outputs, but ten inputs instead of eight. The I/Os can be configured as required for digital (24 V(DC)) or analog (0 to 10 V and 0(4) to 20 mA) signals. If more inputs and outputs are required, these can be added using I/O expansion modules via integrated plug connectors. There is also a counter input with a resolution of up to 1000 pulses/second. "GSM-PRO2E" can automatically notify up to ten people per input via SMS or e-mail if defined input values are exceeded or not reached. An integrated address book is used to store telephone numbers and e-mail addresses and to select persons or groups who are to be notified when defined events occur. Conversely, personnel in the control room or service technicians can switch the digital relay outputs of the "GSM-PRO2E" via SMS.
