Red Lion Controls has announced that the 'Sixnet' series RAM 9000 industrial cellular RTU has received ATEX Zone 2, Category 3 approval. The devices are particularly suitable for industrial M2M networks, such as oil and gas, water and wastewater, utilities and transportation applications, and offer seamless network extension to remote sites. The secure all-in-one platform combines integrated I/O, an event engine and data logging for secure monitoring and control of devices at remote sites via cellular 4G LTE communication. Built-in high-density I/O lowers total system cost with two digital inputs, two digital outputs, three analog inputs and one relay output. The event engine triggers actions based on real-time operating data. I/O registers are recorded on SD cards or internal memory. Serial devices are securely monitored via separate RS232 and RS485 connections.
