Endress+Hauser launches the new Tempc membrane technology. This new technology has been developed to further increase process safety and productivity while reducing acquisition and life cycle costs. The Tempc membrane (Temperature Compensatory Membrane) reduces process and ambient temperature effects by up to five times compared to conventional membranes. This improved functionality is intended to ensure high process reliability even within very demanding pressure and differential pressure applications. In particular, the technology was developed for the chemical, oil & gas, power plant and energy as well as basic materials and metal industries. The asymmetrical geometry and the lower stiffness of the diaphragm reduce the expansion effect of the filling oil. This minimizes the temperature error and at the same time achieves greater process reliability thanks to the improved measuring accuracy. According to the manufacturer, the diaphragm also makes it possible to use smaller instruments, which reduces costs. The Cerabar PMP55, Cerabar PMP75, Deltabar FMD77 and Deltabar FMD78 sensors are available with TempC in combination with the following process connections in 316L: EN1092-1 DN25, DN50, DN80; ASME B16.5 NPS 1", 2", 3".
