SPS IPC Drives 2017
Software & IT in its own hall for the first time
This year, for the first time, SPS IPC Drives is bundling the topic of software & IT in manufacturing in its own hall - Hall 6 - in response to the increasing convergence of the two sectors in the age of digital transformation.
From November 28 to 30, trade visitors can find out about the latest automation solutions in the software and IT sector in Hall 6 at the heart of the exhibition grounds. From start-ups to big names such as Microsoft, Eplan, SAP Germany and Kaspersky Lab, solution providers from all over the world will be there. According to Sylke Schulz-Metzner, Division Manager at Mesago Messe Frankfurt for SPS IPC Drives, themed special display areas such as the joint stand "Automation meets IT", lectures and product presentations will further expand the range on offer.
Oliver Niedung, IoT Sales Specialist at Microsoft Germany, for example, explains why it makes sense to have your own stand at SPS IPC Drives: "SPS IPC Drives has become much more attractive for us. On the one hand, we have recently been able to establish contact with the right decision-makers in the automation industry at partner stands, and on the other hand, it is also in the nature of digital transformation that every automation specialist and every producer has a considerable need for software, cloud services and, increasingly, mixed reality and artificial intelligence. The discussions and demand have reached such a quality and quantity that a dedicated stand for 2017 was a logical consequence."
