The Proalpha Group, provider of ERP and business applications for SMEs, is taking its portfolio in the field of digital store floor solutions to a new level with the merger of its group companies Böhme & Weihs and Enit.

According to Proalpha, this strategically important step brings together forty years of Böhme & Weihs' experience in CAQ and MES and ten years of Enit's innovation in energy and CO₂ management to create "concentrated expertise under one roof". The cross-company cooperation that has already been practised for over a year - under the leadership of Jörg von Ploetz, CEO of Böhme & Weihs - is thus undergoing organizational consolidation.

By combining Enit's energy monitoring and load management solutions with Böhme & Weihs' MES system, medium-sized industrial companies are able to intelligently manage peak loads and thus save costs. The merger of the two companies will create further synergy potential for medium-sized industrial customers in the future - particularly in the implementation and establishment of energy-optimized production control.

Enit will become part of Böhme & Weihs in organizational terms, but will remain an independent product brand in the field of energy and CO₂ management and will continue to serve existing markets as well as address new ones. The merger establishes Böhme & Weihs as a provider of business solutions in the digital shopfloor sector and can now supply customers with real-time quality, machine, process and energy data from a single source.

The merger will create a team of 200 employees. Pascal Benoit, founder and former Managing Director of Enit, will remain responsible for this area as Head of the Energy & CO₂ Management business unit - now within Böhme & Weihs.
