According to VMWare, companies can improve their infrastructure by gaining centralized cloud-based infrastructure management, integrated Kubernetes, access to new hybrid cloud services and a flexible subscription model. The two tools are central to VMware's cloud strategy to deliver a consistent infrastructure. They provide unified infrastructure management for distributed environments via the VMware Cloud Console. The console includes global inventory, configuration, alerts, management and security status for on-premises deployments. Administrators can perform certain operational tasks directly from the VMware Cloud Console. In addition, customers benefit from simplified lifecycle management through cloud-based automation of updates for on-premises infrastructure components.
