Siemens has announced its figures for the first quarter of 2019. While incoming orders set a new record, profits halved. The 'Digital Factory' and 'Process Industries and Drives' divisions recorded some of the strongest sales growth.

The Mobility Division continues to be one of Siemens' outstanding businesses with double-digit growth in order intake. For 21 quarters in a row now, this business has been very close to, in or even above the target margin corridor - at 10.9% in the first quarter of 2019. Among other things, the division received an order worth over €1.6 billion for metros in the United Kingdom and an order worth over €0.8 billion for trains in Canada.
