Solar Impulse 2Round-the-world flight with solar airplane successfully completed
On July 26, the Solar Impulse 2 landed in Abu Dhabi - the last stop on a historic round-the-world flight in a solar-powered aircraft that began on March 9, 2015. As one of the technology partners, ABB was involved in the project from the very beginning.

"I am sure that we will see electric aircraft carrying 50 passengers on short and medium-haul flights in the next ten years," said project initiator Bertrand Piccard after completing the round-the-world flight.
