Siemens has closed the 2018 financial year: The company was able to increase its order intake and sales, but profits in the Industrial Business declined. This is attributable to the sluggish business in the Power and Gas Division.

The Building Technologies division recorded growth in all key figures. The increase in sales was mainly attributable to the solutions and services business, with a particularly strong contribution from the USA. According to Siemens, earnings rose considerably due to higher sales and operational excellence.
