With the CX7000 Embedded PC, the 'Twincat 3' world from Beckhoff is now also available for small controllers. The Embedded PC is equipped with an ARM Cortex-M7 processor (32 bit, 400 MHz). The compact design of 49 mm x 100 mm x 72 mm contributes to the scalability of PC-based control for typical small control applications with a minimal footprint. Multifunction I/Os are already integrated: the embedded PC has eight digital inputs and four digital outputs. These integrated multifunction I/Os can be configured for other operating modes via 'Twincat 3', so that fast counting or analog value processing is also possible. If further electrical signals are to be processed, the embedded PC can also be extended with Ethercat or Bus Terminals. The computer has 512 Mbyte MicroSD flash memory (optionally 1 Gbyte, 2 Gbyte, 4 Gbyte or 8 Gbyte) and is suitable for operating temperatures from -25 to +60 °C. An Ethernet interface (10/100 Mbit/s, RJ45) serves as a programming interface.
