With the 'Codesys V3.5 SP10' version released by 3S-Smart Software Solutions in December 2016, the PCAN-Ethernet-Gateway DR and the PCAN-Wireless-Gateway DR from Peak-System can now also be used with the Codesys applications Gateway and Control Win V3. USB, USB Pro, USB Pro FD, ExpressCard, PCI two-channel, PCI Express four-channel and the PCI Express FD two-channel have already been supported for some time. The 'Codesys Gateway' software is used for service communication between the Codesys interface and the 'Codesys Control V3' runtime system. Thanks to the integrated PCAN-Basic API, this communication can also take place via CAN. For example, a Codesys application can be transferred from a Windows PC to an embedded controller via CAN and debugged. In addition, the Codesys CANopen or J1939 stack or any other CAN RAW application can be tested on a Windows PC by integrating the PCAN-Basic API in 'Codesys Control Win V3'. Furthermore, the 'Codesys Control RTE' application currently works with the two-channel versions of the 'PCAN-PCI' and the 'PCAN-PCI Express'. In the future, the 'PCAN-PCI Express FD' will also be supported.
